ICTFEST ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA 2010 Graphic Design Competition Rules 1. Your original poster design file must be in CMYK color mode with layers intact, 18×24 (inches) as in Illustrator “.ai” file or Photoshop “.psd”. If you win you will be asked to send the layered original file for verification purposes and also a high resolution PDF version for printing. 2. 3. All entries must be submitted by 11:59pm (AST), Friday, 10th September, 2010 You may only submit one entry. Additional entries will result in all entries being removed. 4. Competitions not open to members of the ICTFEST 2010 committee or staff of the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting, Telecommunications, Science and Technology. 5. 6. Participation is free of charge. Contest open to persons 16 years and older. Terms and Conditions The ICTFEST ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA steering committee reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition or the Rules and terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted either within these terms and conditions or the competition details. ENTRANT’S RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Do not submit any entries that are obscene, vulgar, pornographic, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, or which otherwise violate any local or international laws. The ICTFEST ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA steering committee will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not and act accordingly. Entries of the above nature being submitted will lead to a permanent ban from future ICTFEST ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA competitions. 2. 3. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to enter the ICTFEST ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA Graphic Design Competition. If you are below the age of 18 you must obtain consent from your parent or guardian to enter the ICTFEST ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA Graphic Design Competition. No Nudity. Babies must at least be wearing a nappy/diaper and no make-up, there are no exceptions. The ICTFEST ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA Graphic Design Competition committee will provide the images to be 6. used in the design. The supplied images must be recognizable as a central part of your design. COPYRIGHT 1. You may add elements not found in the original images. However, copyright and plagiarism rules apply: you may not use someone else’s material without permission. In cases of doubt, the contest judges may request to see the original image file. 2. The images supplied for use in this contest are licensed for the purpose of this contest only. They are not in the public domain and any other use of the supplied images, whether for commercial or non-commercial use, require authorization from the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting, Telecommunications, Science and Technology. USAGE RIGHTS 1. By entering this contest You agree that any winning design You submit may be used by ICTFEST ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA for the purposes of this contest or future contests and general display, e.g., displaying the entries on the Government of Antigua and Barbuda’s website (www.antigua.gov.ag). 2. You hereby grant ICTFEST ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA a non-exclusive, irrevocable license in each Entry for the uses described in 1. Above. JUDGING 1. The winners of the contest will be decided by the ICTFEST ANTIGUA AND BABRUDA Graphic Design Competition judges consisting on designers and other experienced persons. The judges’ votes will be based on the following criteria: - Overall Creativity and Concept - Creative adaptation of source images - Visual impact 2. One which will be the overall winner and the other two will be runners up (per category) in the contest; only the 3. winner will receive a grand prize and gain exposure, and the runner ups will gain exposure. All decisions are final. PRIZES 1. 2. Although we endeavour to provide quality prizes via sponsoring companies, ICTFEST cannot warrant the quality of their product/service and you agree not to hold ICTFEST, or its staff liable for any losses, costs, or liabilities that may arise in association with the prize(s) or sponsoring companies Details relating to any prizes will be sent to the winner within 30 days of the winner being announced.
