mouse by the tail. He roared, “I could swallow you in one gulp.'' Fearing the confleect, the
mouse began to tremble. He could not believe that he ran right into another dangerous
situation. The lion, who relished his solitude and just happened to be full, kindly decided to let
the mouse escape to safety. It seemed the lion had remembered his hairitage as a protector of
the weak and felt sorry for the helpless creature. Thus, the scrawny mouse lived and the
mighty lion slept in peace.
