Supervolcano Movie Assignment (35 points)
Plan: As you watch the movie, take notes on anything that you may want to remember to answer the
following question:
If a Vei8 volcanic eruption happened today at Yellow Stone National Park, describe and discuss at least
one immediate effect it would have for us on the East Coast. Also, describe and discuss at least one
long-term effect it would have on the world. Use specific examples from the movie including facts,
quotations and correct vocabulary. Use your textbook and your notes to check the facts and vocabulary
that you use.
Rough Draft: Your assignment should be at least 3 paragraphs long and include an introduction,
conclusion and good transitions. Show proof that you revised your writing by turning in a rough draft
attached to your final copy.
Revised Final copy: Your good copy can be typed (double spaced please) or hand written. It will be
graded according to the attached rubric.
Grading: The rubric/final copy is worth 20 points. Your rough draft is worth 5 points. Your questions are
worth 10 points.
