WHEREAS,
Police Officer John Doe joined the City of Tomball Police Department on July 21, 1973 as a reserve
police officer; and
WHEREAS,
after serving nearly 24 years as a reserve police officer, Officer John Doe became a paid police officer in
the City of Tomball Police Department, serving as the department quartermaster and reserve coordinator;
and
WHEREAS,
Officer John Doe has given 34 years of dedicated and honorable service to the City of Tomball; and
WHEREAS,
a retirement party will be held on December 11, 2008 to commemorate Officer Doe’s service; and
WHEREAS,
the City of Tomball wishes to honor Officer John Doe for his distinguished service to the citizens of this
great City;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GRETCHEN FAGAN, Mayor of the City of Tomball, Texas do hereby proclaim Thursday,
December 11, 2008 as:
"JOHN DOE DAY”
and encourage everyone to congratulate John Doe on the completion of a successful career in law enforcement.
