I can explain what happened at Maiden Castle
The Romans invaded in AD43, we think they invaded to take land and money. In doing so
they killed hundreds of people with their advanced weapons. We think the men who were
killed were put in graves hastily dug after a big battle with the Romans. Archaeologists have
found 52 bodies buried at Maiden Castle. Two of the 52 bodies were placed carefully. We
believe that the two carefully placed bodies were buried before the Romans invaded since
there were pots jewellery and animal bones alongside the bodies, these could be the
person’s belongings. Maiden Castle’s villagers were very violent and liked to have war with
their local trips, the two bodies could’ve been killed during war with their neighbours.
