SUBJECT: Proof Copy – Spring 2015 Schedule of Classes
Update Deadline: Thursday, August 28, 2014
A departmental proof copy for the Spring 2015 Schedule of Classes in now available on AccessPlus under the Ubusiness tab. To access the report, click on the e-Reports option the left side of the screen and then select the
report: RGSTN-Crse Sched of Class Proof . Enter the term “S”, and year “2015”. Please be sure to review the
report dated 08/08/2014. Department names are listed with the long designator so using single alpha letters in the
department search may make it easier to find your department.
You can also view the changes made on the Schedule of Classes for Spring 2015. This is a tentative copy and
changes and corrections can still be made at this time. If you need to make any changes, please submit through
the Kuali electronic change form Process, by Thursday, August 28, 2014. Changes affecting room size must be
approved by Room Scheduling before you submit this change to the Office of the Registrar.
If you do not have any changes, please e-mail Marcia Mabee at marmabee@iastate.edu by Thursday, August 28th
verifying that you have looked at the proof copy and there are no changes at this time. In the email, please
indicate which departments have been reviewed.
Once the Spring 2015 Final Schedule of Classes is available on the website, http://classes.iastate.edu/ (October
4), we will not change times on Spring sections listed. This practice is necessary to ensure that students do not
add a section which they believe meets at a specific time and find later that the time has been changed. If you
need to change the meeting days or times on the spring section offerings after Oct. 3rd the section must be
dropped and a new section added reflecting the new changes. The Spring 2015 advising period begins Monday,
October 6.
Authorized personnel in each department should, whenever applicable, enter a web address for a section and/or
the section syllabus. For more information on publishing a section URL and/or a section syllabus URL, go to the

for Departments. If you are unable to update the WR screen in the CO
system, contact Sly Upah at supah@iastate.edu to establish this access.
Please refer to the Standard Day and Time Procedure document available from the Registrar’s homepage under
For Departments,
Course Offerings, to ensure the class times you select comply with the Standard Day and
Time Procedure and thus will be scheduled.

Distance Education Course Offerings
Distance Education Course Offerings must be submitted through their College Distance Education Office. Do not
send Distance Education Course Offerings directly to Student Scheduling. If you have any questions,
please, contact your College Distance Education Office.
Instructor information
Spring instructor information is printed as entered by your departmental staff. If you now have additional instructor
information, please enter that information on the ADIN system. Do not send this information to Student
Scheduling. If you do not have access to enter instructor information on the ADIN system, please contact Sly
Upah. Please use the IB screen to proof your instructor information.
Restrictions
If you want to add a new restriction or change an existing restriction, please email Marcia Mabee at
marmabee@iastate.edu. For example, you may want to restrict by major or college. This ensures that students
who are denied access to a section understand the response provided in Web Registration.
In a few cases, prerequisite restrictions can be enforced by the registration system. The only prerequisites that
are enforceable through the registration system are those based on major curriculum, college, and/or year-inschool. This will be done only if the department has specifically requested this prerequisite restriction to be
enforced. If you are not sure whether the system will enforce a prerequisite, please contact Marcia Mabee at 49374.
Experimental courses
Experimental courses not included on this listing have not yet received approval via the required experimental
course form. Approved forms must be in the Office of the Registrar with all the necessary signatures by Thursday,
September 8, in order for the course to appear in the Spring 2015 Schedule of Classes. All courses must be
submitted on the most recent version of the Experimental Course form available from the ISU Index under
Registrar Office, Forms, Registrar.
Reference numbers
The reference numbers printed on this listing are the actual reference numbers for Spring 2015. If you need to
use reference numbers in any departmental publications, refer to this listing.
