Each example will need to be mapped against the UKPSF. Please see the DARTE Handbook for advice on this. You could include, for example: module or programme development; embedded use of technology; attendance of developmental sessions; involvement with strategy or working groups and committees. You must also demonstrate and evidence where and how you have actively developed yourself in relation to learning and teaching: through peer observation; through analysis of student/learner feedback; through reading of literature relating to teaching and learning. For Associate Fellowship successful engagement with all the Dimensions of Practice is not required. This is relevant to those who do not engage in the full spectrum of activities that might define academic or academic related practice, but who have a specific role in teaching and supporting HE learning. Applicants for Associate Fellowship must provide evidence of: • At least two Areas of Activity (AA) • Core Knowledge (CK), including at least K1 and K2, relevant to your examples • Professional Values (PV) relevant to your examples There is no limit to the list but six to ten activities should be sufficient. Each example in this section must be no longer than 50 words. Professional and Developmental Activities Example (please number activity and include dates) AA 1-5 CK 1-6 PV 1-4 SECTION THREE: Evidence of success and effectiveness Case studies in this section should be based around the ‘typical activities’ for the fellowship level for which you’re applying. The key consideration is how the activities are enabling the demonstration of the relevant Descriptor and the Dimensions of the Framework. For each of the two case studies you select to demonstrate your performance of typical activities, you should: Describe what you have been involved in doing and explain why this evidence is appropriate for a Fellowship application at the level for which you’re applying; Evaluate the success/effectiveness of the activity (this should entail a critical and reflective self-analysis); Provide evidence of good student and colleague/peer feedback on the success/effectiveness of the activity; Provide evidence of any scholarly activity/research associated with the activity (where appropriate). For those seeking recognition through the written submission route, please give the word count at the end of each case study (maximum of 500 words for each example). For those seeking recognition through the oral presentation route, you should seek to convey each case study in a maximum of 5 minutes.
