I am a medical Post graduate from SKIMS, srinagar one of the premier institutions of
India and only tertiary care hospital in Kashmir with full fledged super speciality
departments. SKIM is one of the prestigious tertiary care institutes of the reputation of
AIIMS & PGIMER. I joined ASCOMS in AUGUST 2004 and completed my MBBS in
First attempt with 61.75 % marks.
CLINICAL SKILLS:As a post graduate, I used to make ward rounds, I was responsible for presenting the
cases of patients, describing X-Ray findings, Case work up, Taking consents from the
parents as well patients. I learnt practical skills like Lumbar Punctures, intubation,
managing all medical emergencies and procedures etc.
I am expert in managing medical emergencies like Status epilepticus,Acute
meningitis, CPR etc. I am ACLS certified and I am able to deliver CardioPulmonary
Resuscitation according to latest guidelines.
I have been posted in all the super-spatiality departments like Cardiology, Neurology,
Nephrology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Emergency Medicine, Medical Oncology,
and Clinical Hematology besides being posted in General Medicine during my M.D.
Apart from this I have rotated through all kinds of Medical & Surgical specialties
during my internship in GMC Srinagar & associated hospitals Srinagar. These include
General Surgery, Medicine, Dermatology, Chest Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology,
Obstetrics & Gynae, Anesthesia, Pediatrics, Accident- Emergency, PSM & other allied
specialties.
