suitable size for its age, the age limits are a guide,
we realize that the ages of pets are not always
known, so, if unsure, we recommend that the
cavy/cavies entered be between the weights of
300 to 600gms.

Age Group and In Show awards.
Higher Championship Status is as follows:
DGCH –Double Grand Champion - as above

SGCH – Supreme Grand Champion – as

DSGCH – Double Supreme Grand

Club – evidence may be requested***
***Please remember that all pedigrees are
to turn up bathed or prepared according to
individual pedigree standards. Both Pets
and Pedigree animals MUST be clean, pest
free and have nails trimmed. Any Cavy that
is not well will be disqualified and the
owners may be asked to remove them from
the grounds for the health of all other
competing animals***
***Ipswich Cavy Club disapproves of the
use of hair straighteners on cavies; pet or
pedigree, doing this may cause injury to
the cavy***
***It is a condition of entry that each
exhibitor cleans their table area prior to
leaving the hall. If you do not wish to do so
you will be required to pay a $2 fee for
committee to do so for you***
***By submitting your entry, you agree to
adhere to Ipswich Cavy Club show rules
and Code of Conduct. Breaches may result
in removal from the premises, temporary
or permanent banning and in serious cases
police being contacted and/or criminal
charges***
