Meeting called to order at 10:00 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS: Sturdevant, Lasher, Cline, Wagar, and Bennett. ALSO PRESENT: N. Blaszczuk I. COMMUNICATIONS A. Minutes of Kimball Township Cemetery Advisory Board - June 11, 2014. Motion by Bennett to accept as presented. Supported by Wagar. Motion Carried. B. Minutes of Kimball Township Board of Trustees - July 17, 2014. Received by M. Sturdevant. II. OLD BUSINESS No old business to discuss. III. NEW BUSINESS A. Caswell Cemetery Walk Sturdevant suggested that the cemetery board and Blaszczuk go to Caswell Cemetery and walk the grounds to write down infractions in the cemetery. Motion by Sturdevant to move the meeting to Caswell Cemetery at 10:15 am. Supported by Lasher. Motion Carried. The following is a list of names from the headstones that are in violation with a description of what needs to be changed: Goodman, Anna - the dead bush needs to be removed. Pelling headstone (Ron Urban and Sharon McClue) - the dead bushes need removed. Lula headstone - the flowers are too far from the headstone. Need to make smaller. (only allowed 12” out from the headstone on the east, south, and north sides). Chaffee headstone - need to pull the extra flowers, again only allowed 12” around the east, south, and north sides of headstone. Adams headstone - need to set the flowers back close to headstone. The mower does not have to go around the flowers if in the way. Diskin headstone - downsize the flowerbed. Murawski headstone - downsize the flowerbed. Maraone headstone - downsize the flowerbed. Poulse headstone - remove the loose stone (this could become a flying projectile and injury someone). Parker, Joan headstone - downsize the flowerbed and remove the loose stone. Blatt-Yax headstone - downsize the flowerbed. Molstead, Arthur headstone - remove the bushes. Wagar suggested that an article be put in the Times Herald about what the rules of the cemetery are. Sturdevant suggested that putting it in the township newsletter. Cline suggested putting photos of what a correct grave looks like and what an incorrect grave looks like. That way the residents should be able to get it right. Blaszczuk will check with Jason from the DPW about getting community service workers to help keep the township cemeteries clean. IV.
