RUNNING A COMPETITION
Template Competition Terms and Conditions:
1. This competition is promoted by HarperCollins Publishers Limited (“HarperCollins”), 77-85
Fulham Palace Road, London, W6 8JB.
2. This promotion is open to all UK residents except employees of HarperCollins (or their
parent, subsidiaries or any affiliated companies) and their immediate families, who are not
allowed to enter the competition.
3. If you are under 16 you must have permission from your parent or guardian.
4. How to enter: There are two ways to design your t-shirt: a) Download and print your t-shirt
template from www.rubyredfort.com/designatee Or b) If you don’t have a printer, just
design your t-shirt on a plain piece of paper.
Once you’ve designed your t-shirt, there are two ways to send it to us, either a) take a photo
of your creation and upload via the submit button on www.rubyredfort.com/designatee or
b) post your entries to Ruby Redfort Design a Tee, HarperCollins Children’s Team, 77-85
Fulham Palace Road, London, W6 8JB.
5. Subject to these terms and conditions, your design will be posted onto our special online tshirt design gallery at www.rubyredfort.com/gallery.
6. Please ensure the photo is of your t-shirt design only. Any photo which contains an image of
a person will be invalid, you will not be entered into the competition and your t-shirt will not
be posted to the gallery.
7. We will review all entries and any designs that may be viewed as harmful or offensive in
anyway will be invalid and will not be posted to the online gallery. HarperCollins decision on
this is final.
8. The opening date for entries is 10th November 2014. The closing date for entries is 11.59pm
11th January 2015. No entries received after this date will be accepted.
9. No purchase necessary.
10. Only one entry allowed per household.
11. There is one winner. The winner will receive their design printed on to six t-shirts, £50 ASOS
vouchers, their winning design printed in to the next Ruby Redfort book and a signed copy of
Feel the Fear. The winner will be asked to specify the size of each of the six t-shirts when they
are notified.
12. The winner, or their parent/guardian, will be required to sign the necessary paperwork to
enable HarperCollins to print the t-shirt design as described in clause 12.
13. The winning design may be subject to small modifications in order for the design to adapted
on to a t-shirt print that is achievable by the printers.
14. The prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and subject to availability. No guarantee is given
as to the quality of the prize.
15. No cash or prize alternatives are available.
16. HarperCollins reserve the right in their reasonable discretion to substitute any prize with a
prize of equal or greater value.
17. The winner of the competition will be selected by Lauren Child based on which design shows
the most creativity and individuality. The winner will be notified by e-mail, no later than the
2nd February 2015.
18. Submissions by post will not be returned to the entrant.
19. The prize will be delivered to the winner after 2nd March 2015. The publication date for the
next Ruby Redfort mystery is subject to change, but is likely to be on sale in Autumn 2015.
20. Any application containing incorrect, false or unreadable information will be rejected. Any
applications made on behalf of or for another person or multiple entries will not be included
in the competition.
21. HarperCollins’ decision as to who has won the competition shall be final.
22. To obtain details of the prize winner after the closing date, please write to Ruby Redfort
Design a Tee, HarperCollins Publishers, 77-85 Fulham Palace Road, Hammersmith, London,
W6 8JB.
23. The entry instructions are part of the Terms and Conditions for this competition.
24. By entering the competition you are agreeing to accept these Terms and Conditions. Any
breach of these Terms and Conditions by you will mean that your entry will not be valid, and
you will not be allowed to enter this competition.
25. By entering this competition you are agreeing that, if you win, your name and image may be
used for the purpose of announcing the winner in any related publicity with HarperCollins,
without additional payment or permission.
26. Any personal information you give us will be used solely for this competition and will not be
passed on to any other parties without your agreement. HarperCollins’ privacy policy can be

27. Under no circumstances will HarperCollins be responsible for any loss, damages, costs or
expenses arising from or in any way connected with any errors, defects, interruptions,
malfunctions or delays in the promotion of the competition or prize.
28. HarperCollins will not be responsible unless required by law, for any loss, changes, costs or
expenses, which may arise in connection with this competition and HarperCollins can cancel
or alter the competition at any stage.
29. Any dispute relating to the competition shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales
and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
