The key roles of this position are:
Program management
Development and delivery of on-ground projects and high complexity initiatives
Stakeholder liaison and management
Development of corporate, NGO, philanthropic and government partnerships and sponsorships
Provision of high quality content for communications
Requisite financial accounting, communications, reporting, risk management,
HR management and international development.
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Works with: Marketing & Communications Manager and Accountant
Supervises: Interns, Project Officers, Field officers
Key role relationships: Key clients, external stakeholders, funding bodies,
Partners, Sponsors and IRF networks, IRF board directors.

Program management
High performance of IRF programs
All program accountabilities met
Project management
Manage and ensure delivery of IRF’s on-ground and advisory projects to a high standard
Business development
Development of new business relationships and projects
Maintenance and enhancement of existing business relationships
Demonstrate innovation to achieve sustainable future funding
Client and network management
Manage IRF’s key sponsor and partner relationships effectively
Collaborate with the Global Network for Advancing Integrated River Basin Management and manage IRF’s associated activities.
Represent IRF at events and functions as required
Governance
Prepare draft papers for board meetings for IRF programs
Implement board directions for relevant areas
Assist with corporate compliance and reporting
Marketing & Communications
Support marketing and communications activities
Accounting and Finance
Assist Finance Manager when needed for project reconciliations
Strategic
Contribute to IRF strategic planning
Human resources management
Manage volunteers, interns, field staff
Work collaboratively within a small team

Person Specification
Qualifications:
Degree qualification in relevant area such as water resources, environmental management, International Relations, Social Sciences OR demonstrated five years’ experience in these fields.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of water, environmental, natural resource management sectors, international relations and development.
Experience:
Minimum five years experience in a similar role demonstrating a wide range of duties.
Experience working in developing countries or working in cross-cultural situations desirable.
Skills:
Ability to develop and present compelling Business proposals to organisations
Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
Strong applied project management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and manage productive relationships with external stakeholders and contractors.
Excellent communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken
English
Ability to influence effectively across different cultures and geographies and at all levels.
Document creation including policies, templates, reporting frameworks, administrative platforms, management accounts and pro-forma documents
Ability to facilitate and present.
Negotiation and stakeholder relationship management skills
High level of competence in data collation, synthesis, reporting and record keeping.
Excellent time management and scheduling skills.
Ability to work across multidisciplinary fields.
