The RESEAU ALLIANCE RESPONSIBLE ECONOMY TROPHY
The International Dairy Company is recognized for
its commitment to a responsible economy.
On Thursday July 3rd 2014, during its annual Responsible Economy Trophies ceremony, Réseau Alliances
presented a new class of companies committed to the CSR within the European region. Thirteen Approach of
Corporate Social Responsibility and their Good Practices to be spread, among which those of PROSPERITE
FERMIERE / INGREDIA were publicly recognized.

Prospérité Fermière / Ingredia has set to itself the dual objective of better knowing the impact of its activities on
the climate and implementing actions to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
The company carried out the Carbon Assessment (Bilan Carbone®) of its industrial site of Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise
(62). This action was undertaken voluntarily in order to know more of the impact of its activities on the climate.
This assessment highlighted the importance of the contribution of milk production in the carbon footprint of the
company.
Following those results, specific actions aiming at the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions has been
undertaken on the industrial site of Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise.
In addition, Prospérité Fermière / Ingredia has been committed since 2012, to the extension of its CSR
(Corporate Social Responsibility) approach upstream its value chain – in the dairy farms. This goes especially
through an awareness campaign on the environmental issues among its members.

Biomass fuelled boiler: 95kT gas saved per year or 4600 T CDE.
Heat exchangers: energy saving of 4566MWpH Wood LHV
Burner of the auxiliary gas boiler :6160 MWpH of Gas saving per year
5000 T reduction in Carbon Dioxide emission per year
Milk collection : 15 % reduction in Km travelled per truck per year
6 environmental audits has been carried out at the home of 6 members of the board
since the beginning of 2014
Target for 2014 : to run environmental diagnostics in 60 dairy farms
Bring an up-front response to a CSR Approach for the main clients
Reduction of the greenhouse effect gas emissions from milk production
