This includes studying 12 months each calendar year while a student. The part-time PhD programme is a 6 year commitment. Please state your motivations and commitment for pursuing an MLitt/PhD degree. How will acquiring an MLitt/PhD degree fulfill your personal and career goals? 2. Research Interests (~600 words). Please discuss the area(s) of research in information and library science that interest you the most, and why. How might you go about expanding your knowledge of these areas? How might you go about conducting studies to investigate these research interests? Please also discuss what you hope to learn about the research process while pursuing a MLitt/PhD, and why. 3.
