Martin Luther King Martin Luther King Junior was born on January 15th in 1929, in Atlanta Georgia and he died on April 4th in 1968, in Menphis Tennessee. They had four children with Coretta Scott. His job was pasteur and writen before he became a civil righte activist. Martin Luther King played a major role in the emancipation of African Americans and the decision of the injustice of segregation in the US. Rosa Park a seamstress, refused to give her seat to a white man in 1955. His most famous speech was : « I have a dream ». He have the noble peace prize in 1964. He delivered his speech in 1963. Martin Luther King Junior was named "Man of the year" in the "Time Magazine" in 1963 He made a speech in Memphis in 1968 where he was shot. In 1983 President Ronald Reagan declared The Martin Luther King’s day a public holiday the Monday 3rd of every January. Malcom X Malcom was born on May 19th 1925, in Ohama, Nebraska and he died on February 21th 1965 in Audubon Ballroom. Malcom X was born Malcom Little, in 1925. X is not it name, but a nickname he gave himself by joining the Nation of Islam in 1952. Little is the name of white slave masters of their ancestor and refused to wear it, preferring the letter X for indicate that he doen’t know his real name, that of the African ancestors used in. It was perhaps to remind that black slaves were marked with a cross. Malcolm has committed several robberies and assaults. He was arrested and imprisoned in 1946. It was during his imprisonment that his path crosses Nation of Islam. He converted to Islam and to his release from prison in 1952, he became an activist of this racist organization. In March 1964 Malcolm X left the Nation of Islam. He could not hear for a long time with its leaders.
