happened over the weekend. Use as many details as possible. Goal – to
keep writing!

You will visit 8 stations with your group members.
o When your group is finished with one worksheet, have one person take it back to the correct
folder and choose another worksheet from a station you have not completed; then take that
worksheet back to your seat to complete.
Your goal:
o To correctly identify the part of speech by identifying the pattern found within the sentences.
(Inquiry Based).
o To write a definition for the part of speech.
You will have 8 entries for this journal entry. The following questions will be answered and written in
your journal (no, you do not have to write the question, but please number the questions).
a. What pattern do you notice? What do the words have in common?
b. Can you sort (classify) the words?
c. Where do they appear in the sentence?
d. Any spelling similarities? Punctuation?
e. What part of speech do you think these sentences represent?

