To support the community action against coal seam gas mining in the
Northern Rivers region, there will be activist workshops at the Sphinx Rock
café on Saturday 28 April from 10 am till 4pm.
The training will be provided by Aidan Ricketts, author of the Activists
Handbook and other presenters TBA.
Copies of the Activists Handbook will be available for sale for $30
The training will involve three key presentations:
1. The power and life cycle of Social Movements, The roles of activists in a successful
Social Movement
2.
Planning and Mapping Your Campaign: Practical processes for effective campaign
planning and strategy, including conflict mapping techniques

Direct Action Techniques- including practical and legal aspects of meetings, rallies,
marches, sit-ins, blockades and the new csg free community strategy
