A CHRISTMAS SEED “My Choice to Rejoice” Luke 2:14 Glory to God in the highest [heaven], and on earth peace among men with whom He is well pleased [men of goodwill, of His favor]. AMP “My Choice to Rejoice” Romans 5:1–5 (NLT) Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. 3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Why a positive attitude? It would be impossible to estimate the number of jobs that have been lost, the number of promotions missed, the number of failed classes, the number of sales not made, the number of marriages ruined by poor attitudes. Almost daily we witness jobs that are held, but hated, classes attended, but despised, and marriages that are tolerated but unhappy. All because people are waiting for others or the world to change instead of realizing that they are responsible for their behavior, their attitude, THEIR CHOICE. God is sufficient to give them the desire to change, but the choice to act upon that desire is theirs! The Christmas Seed Story 1. Peace with ______YOU__________. Col 1:20 It was through what his Son did that God cleared a path for everything to come to him-all things in heaven and on earth-for Christ's death on the cross has made peace with God for all by his blood. TLB 1 John 4:10 In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins. AMP Heb 9:11-12 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. NKJV 2 Corinthians 5:20–21 (NET) Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His plea through us. We plead with you on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God!” 5:21 God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we would become the righteousness of God. 2.
