Timeline of our History
Original Abstract: The Brielle Education Foundation was founded in 1999 by a group of
local merchants, business people, parents and other concerned citizens. The Foundation
makes funds available to the school to underwrite various cultural, educational and social
programs that otherwise would be unavailable to the students.
The Foundation has obtained donations from private foundations, corporations and
financial institutions. In addition, many community members have generously supported
our fundraising efforts.
Today’s Mission Statement: The Brielle Education Foundation is an independent, nonprofit,
community-based organization established to secure resources from individuals,
corporations, governments and other foundations. These resources will be used to support
specific projects and programs that will stimulate a higher level of excellence in the Brielle
School District; to mobilize community support and involvement; to raise funds for use in
enriching the educational opportunities of our students; and to encourage the expansion
of community involvement in our school district and the education of our children.
