QUALIFIERS
Equifest
This Show is affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the East of England Showground on the 13th – 17th August 2014.
The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify. All eligible classes stated on the
schedule.
The Amateur Showing Society
1st -3rd places qualify for the amateur showing society national championships. Full details can be found on
www.amateurshowingsociety.co.uk or telephone 01284 388923. Competitors have 28 days to become a member to
retain the qualification. (Eligible classes stated below the class name on the schedule)
The Royal London Show
1st, 2nd and 3rd placed horses/ponies in eligible classes will qualify for the Champion of Britain Title classes to be held
at the Royal London Show in 2014. Each qualified horse/pony will receive a qualification card in the ring, which will
enable the owner to enter the Royal London Show provided the owner, and rider/handler are, or become registered
with the International Showing Society within 28 days of the qualifying show. No horse registration is required. For up

Chiltern & Thames Qualifiers
Ponies must go clear in the first round of the jumping to qualify. 3 horses and 3 ponies will qualify in each class. You
MUST be a member to qualify, to do this please go to www.chilternrider.co.uk/Membership/showmembers.htm or
ring the office on 01582 748983. Riders cannot qualify if they do not have a membership number, which they must
state on the entry form. Ridden class competitors MUST be a member before the show as well. To do this, follow the
information above.
BSPA
Classes 18 and 28 are also qualifiers for the BSPA. Please read class information underneath class name for more
info.

Trophies
If you win a Trophy you will be given a card that you much hand in to the secretary and leave a deposit of £15 to
collect your trophy. All trophies must be signed for, taken, engraved, and brought/sent back before the 1st May 2015. If
any part of this is not done, your full or part of your deposit will be forfeited.

The judges’ decision in final.
Complaints must be filed at the secretary’s office within 15 minutes of the completion of the class
along with a £15 deposit. Should an objection be sustained the deposit will be returned.
No one is allowed to mount a horse without an appropriate riding helmet fastened.
The organisers and the landowners accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury, however
this may be caused.
No lunging on the show ground.
There must be no cantering around the show ground other than in the warming up areas and rings.
Health, safety and welfare. The Organizers of this show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure
the health and safety of everyone present. For those measures to be effective everyone must take all
reasonable care to avoid and prevent accidents and must obey the instructions of the Organizers and
all officials and stewards.
We expect all competitors to have read the rules about their dress in the rules book of various
societies that the classes are qualifying for. You will not be allowed in the ring without correct riding
attire and tack.
Dog’s to be kept on a lead at all times, and any mess made by dogs is to be cleaned up by the owner.
No one should dispose of any kind of waste on the show ground. The lorry park will be continually
monitored and anyone found to be committing this offence will incur a charge of £75.
The stewards, judges and any other member of staff reserves the right to send a horse/rider
Combination out of the ring, or off the show ground should their behaviour be unacceptable.
No refunds are available except in the event of complete cancellation (not being re scheduled). In this
case a 90% refund will be available. In this case a SAE must be sent to the secretary within 7 days of
the proposed show date, with payment details and contact information.
A rider may leave the ring for a clashing class so long as the pony/rider is present in the ring, or a
representative. You must tell the steward if there is a possibility of having to leave, what class you will
be in and what ring it is. If you are found to of left the ring without having another class to compete in
you will be eliminated. You may only receive a placing should you return to the ring in time for the

Any fall of horse or rider will result in a compulsory elimination, you must leave the ring dismounted.
The Judges at their discretion reserve the right to make a person(s) visit the first aid before they can
re-mount or carry on with their day, should suitable permission be granted to do so.
All competitors are expected to know, and have read, the various showing societies rules and
regulations and abide by them throughout their time on the show ground.
The organisers reserve the right to cancel the show at any point in the day should it be necessary. If
the show is cancelled before the commencement of the show 90% of entry fees will be refunded. If the
show is cancelled during the day then all entry fees of classes, which have not commenced, will be
refunded to all competitors on the day.
Should the date of the show change due to weather, or any other reason and the date be moved, no
entry fees will be refunded for competitors unable to attend the new date.
No pony under the age of 4 is to be ridden on the show ground.
Any members of the committee reserve the right to carry our dope testing on any animal should they
wish, or to request a copy of an animal’s passport.
Appropriate passports or photocopies should be available on the day to the show organisers/judges
or officials should they ask. Failure to supply this means immediate removal from the showground
and no refund on entry fees.
We strongly advise competitors to ensure they have adequate 3rd party liability insurance cover in place.
NB: There will be no running water onsite. All competitors are expected to provide enough water for their
horses and themselves throughout the day.
