Federal law prevents some of the dental loan rules from being grouped to streamline process. Non-profit recipients of dental loans: Fargo CHC, Valley CHC, State Penitentiary Met last Friday. Working on wording of grant process with Dakota Medical Foundation (DMF), which will meet this coming Friday. Consider NDOHC meeting with Governor’s office once they receive budget information Updates will be provided at next coalition meeting Care Mobile Report Receiving applications from Medicaid Expansion Program CHIP funded to 9/15, may be in jeopardy, HHS to issue report in spring to determine future of program Blue Cross Caring Program dissolving by 12/12/14 Accepting requests for 2016 Upcoming meeting to discuss sites being used to be cost effective Many locations with high need so must be very strategic in selection Free and Reduced Lunch criteria for selection may need to be reviewed due to oil country schools with large disparities in income skewing percentages. Conducting presentation for Oral Health America Kathy Keiser and Kathy Mangskau presented on RM Care Mobile recordkeeping at the National RMHC Conference in August Administrative Committee recommends request to increase site visit fee Turtle Lake Minot clinic open four days a week, well received and great need. Seeing 85% Medicaid patients Donations of five Dental operatories available Possible expansion into Rolette in fall, dentist being interviewed Deans from University of MN Dental School visiting Turtle Lake on 10/29 to explore possibility of Northland as outreach program to mentor dental students. Elderly Care Program (Long-term Care Outreach) DentaQuest is interested in a focus on Elder Care. Tristate meeting through DentaQuest in November for SD, MN, and ND oral health representatives to meet and discuss possible regional hub concept and identify areas of program alignment and collaboration Next meeting: Tues.
