readers determine important events in the story and understand the author’s
purpose.
Spelling-The learner will understand that two (and three) syllable words have a
stressed syllable and will review vccv patterns to aid in syllabication.
Grammar-The learner will practice subject/verb agreement rules by determining
when to use past, present, and future tense verbs in a sentence of passage.
Writing-The learner will support an opinion with reasons and examples by
composing a persuasive essay.
Math-The learner will develop algebra skills through the study of the associative
property of multiplication.
Science-The learner will understand how animals use adaptations to survive in
their environments.
Social Studies-The learner will practice map reading skills through a study of the
state of Massachusetts.
Health-The learner will collaborate with teams to practice for reader’s theater
productions.
