2016 CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS
Through the Phyllis Levenstein Fund, a limited number of conference scholarships are
available to Parent-Child Home Program Coordinators and Home Visitors. Priority is
given to those individuals who have never been able to attend the conference, those who
have not been able to attend recently, and to program sites that have not previously
received scholarships. We also will give priority to those who have a demonstrated need
and will be presenting a workshop at the conference. Send in your workshop proposal
as soon as possible, and we will give you feedback regarding if it likely to be accepted
and if you are likely to receive a scholarship.
In considering scholarship applications, The Parent-Child Home Program Board of
Directors takes into consideration what your school district or agency can contribute
towards conference attendance. The Fund cannot cover all expenses, but will try to
“match” support from your school district/agency. Most scholarships cover the
conference fee(s); a small number partially cover hotel expenses, as well.
If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please complete the attached
Scholarship Application. We encourage everyone who could benefit from a
scholarship, including those who have received a scholarship in the past, to apply.
There is no way for us to know what the demand will be for scholarships in any
given year. Your eligibility cannot be determined until we see how many sites
apply.
Preference will first be given to Coordinators, especially those who have not
attended the conference in recent years. However, we also encourage you to apply
for scholarships that would allow Home Visitors, who could not otherwise
participate, to attend.

application by the deadline. The deadline for applying for a scholarship is February
12, 2016.
