PARENTS BE LEFT WITH PIE ON
THEIR FACE?!

parents at the Kids Court at Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular
Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular | July 11– 13 | Merrion Square, Dublin
Calling all children! If you want to get your parents back, Kids Court once again
comes to Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular, and this year it is messier,
meaner and more mischievous than ever. Today FM’s Ray D'Arcy will take to
the judge’s chair as he sentences and punishes parents at the Kids Court in
Merrion Square on Saturday July 12th, while comedian Steve Cummins will chair
proceedings as King of the Court on Sunday July 13th in Dublin and in Cork’s
Fitzgerald’s Park the following weekend.
In addition to the festival favourite, Kids Court, Ireland’s biggest summer festival
brings bundles more FREE entertainment and fun for all the family to enjoy in
Dublin’s Merrion Square and Cork’s Fitzgerald’s Park this month. From jawdropping jugglers, to awe-inspiring acrobats and spine-tingling sword
swallowers; 12 international street performers from eight different countries
including: Japan, Australia and The Netherlands, who will come together to wow
over 300,000 at Dublin’s Merrion Square and Fitzgerald Park, Cork.
Laya Healthcare’s Family Area brings a slice of the countryside to the heart of
the city with its petting zoo, picket fencing and fake grass. While ESB Spark Your
Imagination is guaranteed to spark children’s interest at the festival, featuring
free workshops, installations and performances for both young and old kids
alike. Dublin’s children’s cultural centre The Ark brings hours of jokes,
anecdotes and crazy sketches for all the family to enjoy in their Stand Up
Comedy Workshops, with Irish dancing and music at their Ukulele Céilí.
Dublin’s festival of Science and Culture, Festival of Curiosity, brings a LEGO
workshop, educational groups and science displays, including papercrafts and
electronics to Merrion Square. A first for Ireland, Spain’s Guixot de 8 and their
interactive outdoor art gallery and playground allows kids to interact with
some of the world’s most famous sculptures, by artists such as Picasso and Dali.
Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular provides a fantastic way of learning for
children, while they have great fun at the same time.
