Free electives and specified group electives are chosen to compliment the student’s “specialized
degree option” or other career interests. Lists of courses that satisfy group requirements (denoted
with *) are located on the Animal Science Department website. Degree options are explained in
AnS 110 and through appointments with the student’s academic advisor. Specialized options
include: General Animal Science, Animal Products, Companion Animal Management,
Equine Management, Livestock Management, Pre-Graduate Studies, and Pre-Veterinary
