PTSA COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS
Community Cares: When teachers, students or families at City encounter hardship or have personal needs that our City
family can help with the Community Cares committee provides support.
Hospitality: The hospitality committee coordinates with school personnel to provide food, volunteers and other support for
school activities throughout the year.
Dale Hovencamp Scholarship Committee: Each year a small scholarship is awarded to a senior student. This committee
advertises, scores, and awards the scholarship.
Grant Writing Committee: The grant writing committee searches for, writes, and submits grants that can help to fund our
City programs and activities (including our DP tutoring sessions).
Music Boosters: The music boosters committee works to increase visibility and support of the City High Middle School Music
Department. The committee encompasses band, orchestra, vocal music and musical theatre.
School Competitions: School competitions include Odyssey of the Mind, Robotics, Forensics, and other school based
competitions. The chair of this committee helps with any school based needs for the students and parents involved with these
groups.

Audit Committee: The audit committee works with the treasurer to complete the yearly audit of our budget.
Nominating Committee: This committee meets in the Spring to search for and nominate new members to our City PTSA
Executive Board.
