I know it has _____ sides. *Students will play this game again and switch partner positions. Activity 2 Game: East/West The teacher will say the name of a shape or describe the shape using one of its’ attributes such as the number of sides. The students will move to either the east or west side of the classroom to the corresponding shape. * Repeat this game as necessary utilizing student leaders to give the oral clues to the rest of the class when they are able and it is appropriate. Wrap-Up Teacher: What did you learn today? Beto: I know that a trapezoid is a shape. It has four sides and two are parallel. Teacher: Yes a trapezoid is a shape and it has four sides.
