James F. Byrnes Scholarship (senior with deceased parent, good grades, character, ability, financial need, plan to

Palmetto Fellows: 3 criteria: SAT 1200 (reading + math only)/ACT 27; GPA 3.5; Rank-top 6% or
SAT 1400(reading + math only)/ACT 32 w/4.0 GPA. See guidance if you qualify. Late awards accept test
scores through June 2015.
LIFE Scholarship: For 4 year colleges/universities must meet 2 out of 3 of the following criteria: SAT 1100
(reading + math only)/ACT 24; GPA-3.0; top 30% of graduating class. For 2 year schools or technical colleges
must only have 3.0 GPA. There is no application for this. It will be determined by final transcript.
HOPE Scholarship: 3.0 GPA (freshman year only) Determined by final transcript.

3. Jostens – You need a cap, gown, and tassel to participate in graduation. Prices go up as graduation
gets closer. Make sure you have what you need or have ordered it.
4. Guidance needs copies of ALL acceptance letters and ALL scholarship offers.
5. Seniors considering participating in athletics in college need to register with the NCAA
Clearhouse at www.eligibilitycenter.org
6. Academic Assistance is available in the Homework Center on Thursdays after school.
