Does the following indicate consistent contact and visitation?

1. Parent’s whereabouts were unknown for 4 out of
the six months; no visitation or contact with the
child.


2. Parent was incarcerated for 5 of the six months.
Called the child monthly, wrote 2-3 time a month
to the child, sent 8 tape recorded messages of
songs and stories, and saw the child at the jail
as often as transportation could be arranged, usually monthly.


3. Parent called the caretaker’s home at least weekly, but after the child’s
bedtime. Parent made about 75% of scheduled visitations, citing
transportation difficulty for the missed visits but did not usually call to
inform caretaker the visit would be missed.


4. Parent made about half of the scheduled visitations but called before
those missed to reschedule but no rescheduled date could be agreed to.
Does the following indicate significant progress in resolving the problems
leading the child’s removal?

5. Parent has been on a waiting list for residential drug
treatment for 4 months and consequently has not
entered any type of service.


6. Parent says s/he believes the child’s report of molest by the
boy/girlfriend Parent accepts the responsibility to protect the child
from molest. Parent regularly attends therapy.


7. Parent disappeared for three months but now is testing clean and
has a job.


8. Parent attending day treatment drug program. Parent had three
bouts of dirty tests, but continued attending program. Parent has
been clean for previous 6 weeks.


9. Parent resumed taking psychiatric medication for depression.
Children have had a 90% school attendance record over the last 4
months.

the child’s safety, protection, physical and emotional wellbeing, and special needs?






12. Parent has completed residential drug treatment but has not yet
found employment and stable housing. Parent is not strongly
bonded to the infant but provides adequate supervision, food,
clothing, and shelter. The parent has made no progress in
engaging the child in spite of six public health nurse training visits.


13. Mentally retarded parent has attended all services but has shown
no insight or change in ability to use age appropriate discipline
techniques.

11. Parent has completed the case plan objectives but still lives in a
drug ridden, dangerous apartment complex. Children and parent
are looking forward to reunification. There is no evidence of
parenting deficit.
