Compared to traditional UPS solutions with paralleling two units for redundancy, the modular and
scalable Tri Power X33 MOD HP systems from Alpha Technologies optimize the budgeting and
operating costs. The true modularity of the MOD HP allows an individual and progressive adaption to
the current IT environment while considering future load changes within the consumption area.
MOD HP technologically balances the dynamic changes within the IT equipment – i.e. due to product
life cycles, technology changes and consolidations – and the capabilities of the power supply. MOD
HP is efficient, flexible and economical and significantly avoids oversizing. Space requirements, input
power and energy consumption is reduced to a minimum. Redundant configurations of the power
modules and battery modules in one single cabinet as well as single-phase and/or three-phase in- and
output voltage configurations can be easily realized.
Each power module – available as 3.4, 5.0 and 6.7kVA modules – is redundant to the and allows an
individual, customized configuration – almost 50 different configurations are possible with only 3 power
cabinets. Their maximum weight of 9kg allows an easy installation and replacement which can be
performed by a single person. The true modular concept of the MOD HP continues consequently in a
redundant battery system. Due to a small number of cells the battery system can be individually
adapted to the required back up time in a flexible and cost effective way.
