HH Lady Hatter Spring Track 2015 Team Rules
Participation in a sport is more than just practice and game day. It requires
continued vision, self-discipline, and a strong determination to succeed.
-HH Athletic Philosophy
Track and Field is a sport that requires dedication, determination and a lot of hard work. You
have to work towards individual improvement while supporting your teammates and doing your
part to contribute to our team’s growth and success.
As a member of this team, you are expected to:
 Remain academically eligible for participation according to Hatboro-Horsham High School
regulations. (For more complete information, see HH Extracurricular Code of Conduct).
 A student involved in such athletic programs with two (2) F’s in a full credit course or half credit
course will be deemed ineligible for one full week. A student with one (1) F and two (2) D’s in a
full credit course or half credit course will be placed on academic probation and miss one
contest or event. (Extracurricular Code of Conduct)

Attend all practices and Dual meets. (SEE ATTENDANCE POLICY ON BACK)
 Be prepared for practice every day and for meets. You will have uniforms, sneakers, spikes,
etc. If you are unprepared for practice and therefore do not participate, it counts
as a missed practice.
 Be on your best behavior in school and at all track practices and meets. You are a reflection
of our school and our team. Please behave in a way that will make us proud. Your
coaches will let your teachers know to contact us if they have any concerns.
 Take care of your body by eating healthy, stretching, getting necessary rest, not overworking yourself. Let your coaches and Steve know of any health concerns.
 Respect yourself, other members of the team, and all members of the coaching staff.
 If you have any injury that requires you to see a doctor, you must let your coach
know, and you will need a note from your doctor before you can return to practice.
 Follow all guidelines set forth by the HH School District in the Extracurricular Code of
Conduct.
We are looking forward to a safe, fun, and
SUCCESSFUL season!
2015 H-H Girls Field & Track Attendance Policy
To be a part of an athletic team is to make a COMMITMENT to your team, teammates,
and coaches.
ALL Practices and Dual Meets are mandatory.
Practices will last until 5:00 daily. Be prepared to stay until the end. There is no guarantee you will be able
to take the 4:30 bus home. Arrange for a ride daily.
You are expected to stay at all dual meets (home or away) until the end to cheer on your teammates and
support your team. Attendance will be taken at the end of the meet. If you leave before attendance is
taken it will count as if you missed the meet. ***Please take note of our schedule and make any
arrangements you need to now.
The following may result in dismissal from the team:
o If you miss 2 dual meets (This includes Spring Break)
o
If you miss a total of 5 practices during the season. (this includes spring break)
o
If you come late or leave early from practice excessively (this includes leaving early to
catch the late bus)
Meet Participation
 If you miss more than one practice, and/or all or part of more than one workout (due to injury or
inability) in a week, there is a possibility you will not compete in the meet(s) that week,
including Saturday invitationals.
 If you miss practice the day before a meet without an acceptable excuse you will not be
permitted to run in the next day’s meet. (Coaches will decide if the excuse is acceptable)
 You cannot participate or compete on a day in which you are absent or suspended from regular
classes (this includes ISS), so do your best to be in school every day.
 You must be in school by 8:30 am to participate in practice or competition that day unless you
have a doctor’s note.
 If you miss a dual meet, it will be the coaching staff’s decision if you are able to compete in the
next Saturday meet (this includes Penn Relays, Lady Hatter and Leagues/Districts)
***We as coaches understand there may be times that require you to miss practice, you
have 5 built in days to miss FOR A REASONABLE EXCUSE, if further days are needed to
be missed the Head Coach will make that decision on a case by case basis. Working and
last minute school work will not be acceptable. Please use your time management skills
wisely.
*You, the athlete, are responsible for letting a coach know that you will be late or absent from practice.
Take responsibility for yourself, you can reach at least one coach via email, phone or in person during the
school day.
