Door of chook house needs to be ventilated. Chicken sub group/coordinator required before we get chooks on site Post meeting note decided we will enclose roof of chook pen to keep out foxes so that
chooks don’t need to be put away each night.
Keep a list of volunteer tasks visible on site so people know what to
do. Conduct a phone survey of members to determine their needs in
line with membership renewals due in May (Lyn to draft up survey).

A possibility to look at in the future
Set up a bookcase and ‘library’ for member in the shed (once ponds
removed), starting with donated books from Cr Alex Wilson.
Erect trellis and plant in winter. Talk to Geoff about cuttings.
Community art projects, murals, kids activities etc can be looked at
in the future.
Plan with Gabby collection from Murdoch in April (check no
vermicides used)
Plan garden expansion once paving completed.
Report back on WARRA waste grant money in order to claim other
half of funding. Circulate grant funds still available so that we can
make sure we spend the money.
Remind members they can drop greenwaste on site. Possibly
letterdrop local residents about composting their kitchen scraps on
site.
Invite him to attend Busy Bees (must be accompanied by his carer).
People can help out with cuttings at their own homes. Send out
expressions of interest to contact Nancy. Also cuttings for Busy
Bee days
Construct bee fodder structure out of chicken wire and rocks picked
from site - grow honeysuckle, native wisteria etc
Set up daily free produce basket at café to advertise our activities.
Wait until better harvesting months
Nancy caring for seedlings. Plant April/May
Plant more in April/May. Plant separate pots of mint for café near
tap now.
Call for articles. Request further sponsorship from Fremantle Ports.
Plan an Open Day for Spring (don’t clash with Hulbert St Fiesta and
other events).
Need lime, veggie mix, fertiliser, chelated iron, manure
Beck to continue to encourage café to become further involved.
Idea raised of having drip line from shed rainwater tank to stone
fruit trees (until chooks arrive). Post Meeting Note - Stan (20 years
orchard exp) advised these trees probably only need watering once a
week now. Possibly move drip line idea to newly planted tagasaste
trees along fenceline.
Pave a central area for gatherings etc - in the future
Renewals due in May. Reminders with the phone survey.
Consider other fundraisers such as sausage sizzles or pizza nights.
Improve soil or raised narrow bed? Possibly used steel trellis we
have on site for a climber.
Continue with manual removal. Try areas of black plastic.
Investigate council use of steam on couch.
