To contribute to the leadership of the Faculties research and education activities. Key accountabilities/primary responsibilities % Time 1. To develop and to lead on an interdisciplinary research programme in the field of Applied Health Services Research. 30 2. Contribute to teaching across programmes including the strategic development of education and quality enhancement of the academic provision. 10 3. Contribute to and lead on impact-related activities and lead on the preparation for and delivery of REF2020 or equivalence as well as supporting our active international research agenda by representing both the Faculty and University internationally. 10 4. To secure research income from national and international funding bodes in support of Applied Health Services Research. To contribute to the development of health sciences research across the University through links with the wider Faculty and University Strategic Research groups. 20 5. To take a leading role in the Faculties negotiation and delivery of the Faculties research and education strategy. To supervise doctoral and post-doctoral students and Fellows. 10 Key accountabilities/primary responsibilities % Time 6. To publish and disseminate outputs from research that are, world class in terms of excellence and impact. 10 7. To contribute to student learning across the Faculty and undertake relevant teaching as well as supervision while providing expert advice and subject leadership to other staff and students, including research supervision 5 8. Any other duties as allocated by the line manager following consultation with the post holder. 5 Internal and external relationships Develop strong relationship with other Faculty research groups to maintain Faculty cohesiveness and to encourage cross-group working. To be available to participate in fieldwork as required by the specified research project. To attend national and international conferences for the purpose of disseminating research results.
