Primary Course in Food Safety
The purpose of the Primary Course in Food Safety is to provide food
workers with the skills, knowledge and the awareness of the
importance of good food hygiene and practices. The course is aimed at
all workers in the food sector, particularly those in the catering ,retail
and manufacturing sectors. It is designed so that learners can work
effectively in compliance with the relevant food hygiene legislation,
guidance notes, codes of practice and Irish standards.
Cost : Tuition 100 euros
Examination fee : 25 euros (valid for 5 years )
Course materials: 5 euros
ACCOUNTING TECHNICIANS IRELAND
An ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN works alongside qualified accountants in
business, industry, private practice and the public sector. Once qualified, you
can play a role from accounts to assistant accountant, form credit controller to
systems administrator. Now known as ATI, (was IATI)
Foundation Level / Admission Level Mon & Wed 7.00 – 10.00 €750 tuition
Year 1- Subjects : Financial Accounting ,Taxation ,Law &Ethics, Business
Management.
Additional costs include Registration fee €170 with ATI, Examination fee
per subject €75 and Manuel fee per subject €65.

Fetac Level 5 Component Certificate and Froebel Certificate
60 hours tuition Monday and Wednesday 7- 10pm . Cost €750 .
Learners focus on child development, health and safety, child protection issues,
arts and crafts,disabilitystudies,role of SNA, the multidisciplinary team, disability
awareness. 30 hours work experience required.
Entry requirements three passes in Junior Certificate or equivalent.

Trim Arch Club
This club meets every Monday in Boyne Community School 7.30 – 9.30. It provides a social outlet in a
safe friendly environment for people aged 15 upwards with intellectual disability and special needs.

Evening Study
Evening study runs in the Boyne Community School from Monday to Thursday, 4 to 6 pm for the duration

General Information
Evening Classes are offered in Boyne Community School on Mondays and
Wednesdays and some week-ends.
Information: The Director or School representative will be available to answer
queries on these nights after 22nd September from 7.00 – 10.pm. Ph.046

Postal Enrolment will be accepted with full fee from 4th – 10h September or in
person (see front of brochure for times). Online enrolment is now possible.
Students are enrolled on a “first come first served basis”. Early enrolment is
necessary to ensure sufficient numbers for classes to form.
Fees in full must be paid before classes commence.
Course Closure: No course may be formed where the number of students
enrolled does not warrant it. The Director reserves the right to close a course
and refund fees or to alter times & dates of a course if deemed
necessary.
Refunds Fees are non-refundable, unless a course does not form
due to insufficient numbers or a tutor being unavailable. Expect these refunds
week 4 of courses.
Property: Responsibility cannot be taken for loss of / damage to students’
property, cars etc.
Parking Please park you car with consideration for others, leaving access
clear, and not on the grass. Access parking at the back of the school through
lane at left of main entrance.
Expenses Expect to have to buy materials for some courses
Funded Courses: The fee for some courses is less than for others – this is
part of our commitment to the community
Gift Vouchers These can be purchased in the Adult Education Office, Monday
– Wednesday at night.
Tea / Coffee Break Some classes take a 10 - minute break, when you can
buy a cup of tea of coffee.
Discipline: The student subscribes to the regulations of the school and is
bound by them. Students have access to school rooms and equipment, which
must be treated with care and left ready for the next day. The school reserves
the right to suspend from class or building as appropriate.
Smoking is strictly forbidden in any part of the school building. Please do not
litter the school grounds.
