Women Athletes Business Network Mentoring Program Emily Hughes Emily Hughes represented the United States in figure skating at the 2006 Olympic Games. She is a United States silver and bronze medalist as well a World Team member in Calgary in 2006 and Tokyo in 2007. Hughes graduated from Harvard University in 2011 with a degree in sociology and a minor in political science. For her senior thesis, she explored the impact of sports-based youth development programs on youth in Harlem, New York. After graduating, Hughes worked as a Business Analyst in Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy and Operations group. She later worked for the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne, Switzerland. Currently, Hughes is a Business Consultant for Google. She has been a frequent guest on NBC’s Today Show and numerous broadcast network features, and continues to stay involved in figure skating by performing in numerous charity skating shows and skating with her nieces.
