Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in a Girls Leadership Summer Program position. Before you complete this
application, please make sure to visit the summer program section of the Girls Leadership website to get a sense
of program schedule, goals, and expectations. We look forward to reviewing your application.
Applications will be reviewed and processed in the order received. Although the application deadline is February
1, 2016, hiring decisions may be made prior to this date. Applicants should send a cover letter, resume, and this
completed application, in Word or pdf format to Cora Garner cora@girlsleadership.org. The subject line of the
email should include your full name and name of the position(s) you are applying for. Please call 866-744-9102,

Personal Statement
Please attach a personal statement that is at least 300 words (but no longer than 1000 words) answering the
following question:
At Girls Leadership, we examine the cultural and internal pressure that may lead us to quiet our voices, take care
of others instead of ourselves, and choose conflict-free relationships over speaking our truth. Girls Leadership
celebrates the moments when we can be true to ourselves, advocate for our needs and desires. Write about a
time in your life when you were able to express your authentic self.
