This gave him a powerful way to learn how to assess problems, implement and make change happen within hospitals and the wider healthcare field. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of McKinsey & Company’s Healthcare practice for a year, whilst also contributing to the College’s management and leadership agenda You will receive structured training and practical experience working on client-facing projects in healthcare improvement and reform, mainly within the NHS This is an intensive fellowship year which will be ideally suited to trainees with an aspiration to influence and improve whole systems, and potentially to work in senior clinical leadership positions – Full-time position for 12 months starting October 2015 – Only surgical registrars with a NTN are currently eligible to apply – London-based role but you should expect to travel extensively, and therefore need to be flexible – Your current NHS salary will be maintained and costs of attending scientific meetings and conferences, which are deemed necessary for the candidate, will be reimbursed – Whilst applications are open to all who are eligible, successful applicants must be, or become, members of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in order to accept the position.
