QCE is a conference that is focused on supporting future educators in their goal of teaching the learners of today. Please visit our website for more details: http://www.queensconferenceoneducation.com Queen’s Conference on Education 2016 Why Teach: Exploring Alternative Teaching Avenues to Impact the Learners of Today In today’s society, teaching happens everywhere. There is no longer a set location where all teaching must occur, or only one way to teach or learn something. Teachers must adjust their teaching styles to the way their students learn best, no matter who these students might be, or where they might be teaching. When graduating with a Bachelor of Education, the clear path is to teach in a traditional classroom, but is this the only option? This year’s conference will focus on different routes than the traditional classroom setting, and varying ways of educational instruction. Queen’s Conference on Education 2016 will aim to provide delegates with information regarding different pathways they can follow after graduating with their Bachelor of Education. It will also provide various strategies that can be implemented in all types of classrooms in order for students to get the most out of their learning experience. Teachers will be able to support their students more effectively with what they are able to learn at the conference and transfer into their future classrooms. Delegates will have the opportunity to participate in four workshops over the course of the weekend, and attend 3 keynote addresses. The four workshop types include: Why Teach o Motivating about chosen profession Alternative Avenues o Extracurricular side of education Learners of Today o Differentiated instruction Panels o How to Get Hired o Exceptionalities o Asking the Difficult Questions o What Else Can You Do in B.Ed? We believe in the importance of positively impacting future educators, and that is what we see as the goal of our conference. Benefits of Sponsoring QCE is a non-profit, student run event.
