Responsible for the production of digital cartographical material and the link between de excavation data (relational database) and (geo)graphical data and the analysis with it. After 9 months end of work because of end of project. After this started the company AARAD with an archaeology colleagues met at the A27 project. Since then been active for 4 years with this company specialized on computer applications and digital data and mapping work for Archaeological and Historical projects. Clients and projects during the AARAD period were: NS Railinfrabeheer (Dutch National Railroad company). Project ‘Betuwe Route’. A major railroad project crossing the complete country from West (Rotterdam harbor) to East (Germany) where 40 smaller and larger archaeological excavations took place. AARAD was hired to do data controlling work for several of these excavations. ROB (Dutch Archaeological State Heritage) hired AARAD for several projects. Amongst others for building an application for data storage and data converting. Archol BV. Leiden the Netherlands hired AARAD during a period of 4 years to arrange organize setup and maintain the complete automation for two of the major multi million dollar ‘Betuwe Route’ project excavations at Hardinxveld Giessendam the Netherlands. City of Arnhem the Netherlands, hired AARAD to do a Pilot study and examination on the possibilities of the digitizing of (graphical) data of a major city enlargment archaeological pre excavation. City of Venlo the Netherlands, hired AARAD to make a digital version of the 1867 fortified city, to plot over the modern situation. City of Vlaardingen the Netherlands, hired AARAD to make a digital version of the 1769 fortified city and surrounding area, to plot over the modern situation. Ministere de la Culture Guadeloupe French Antilles, hired AARAD to do diverse digital mapping (2D & 3D) and data analysis work on several projects. The company SOB Research the Netherlands, hired AARAD to build an application to store retrieve and present in a database and graphical way coring data. Clients and projects during the AARAD period were: The Rotterdam archaeological department BOOR has hired IN TERRIS to take care of all the digital data collection controlling and correction on a small archaeological project within the large infrastructural project of the high speed train track from Amsterdam to Paris. Project started december 2002 up to now. The commercial company VESTIGIA, dealing with directing mainly the larger archaeological projects in the Netherlands, has hired IN TERRIS for 2 days a week to make digital data maps and develop new technical concept and inovations. Project started june 2003 up to the end of 2003. The commercial company ARCHOL, connected to the Leiden Universuty the Netherlands, has hired IN TERRIS for 3 days a week to take care of all the digital data collection controlling and correction on a large scale neolothic archaeological project within the infrastructural project of the water cleaning installation of the The Hague region The Netherlands. Project started june 2003 up to the end of 2003. IN TERRIS is involved in the international Carriacou survey and excavation project that started march 2003 and is planned to run for the next few years, as well as short term projects on Jamaica and Trinidad. In 2008 In Terris and the QLC foundation merged into a new ltd, QLC BV. A growing two man company focusing on the development of the Archaeological Information System (A.I.S.) ArchaeoLINK. This development started around 2003. The system has evolved into a major data tool within the Dutch archaeology. Main clients using the system are the Archaeological departments of the following cities: Amsterdam (subway project Noord-Zuidlijn), Breda, Leiden, Nijmegen, Eindhoven, Tilburg as well as the province of Zeeland and several national archaeological contract firms. And presented posters, brochures and digital demonstrations on archaeological automation focused on the Caribbean region. Attended the 19th International Congress for Caribbean Archaeology to held on Aruba from 22-30 July 2001 where a paper on database structures was presented. Attended the 20th International Congress for Caribbean Archaeology held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from 29 june – 6 July 2003. There a paper was presented on the March 2003 survey project on Carriacou with a 3D animated movie as visual support to the paper.
