Foundation Engineering

Typical offers
A-level: grades CD or equivalent
IB Diploma: 24 points
Advanced Diploma: grade D
BTEC National Diploma with 3 passes
You will also need GCSE Maths grade B minimum and English Language grade C minimum
BSc Hons Mechanical Engineering (formerly BSc Hons Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering)
The entry grades for this course are the same as detailed in the brochure for Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering
BSc Hons Mathematics single or combined
Typical offers
A-level: grades BBB (single honours) / BBC (combined honours) or equivalent. Min grade B in Mathematics.
IB Diploma: 32 points, to include at least a 6 in Standard Mathematics (single honours). 31 points, to include at least 6 in Standard
Mathematics (combined honours).
Advanced Diploma: grade A, including A-level Mathematics at grade B minimum (single honours). Grade B, including A-level
Mathematics at grade B minimum (combined honours).
BTEC National Diploma with two distinctions and one merit PLUS grade B minimum in A-level Mathematics (single honours).
BTEC National Diploma with one distinction and two merits PLUS grade B minimum in A-level Mathematics (combined honours).
You will also need GCSE English Language grade C minimum
BSc (Hons) Mathematical Sciences
Typical offers
A-level: grades BBC or equivalent. Min grade B in Mathematics.
IB Diploma: 31 points, to include at least 6 in Standard Mathematics
Advanced Diploma: grade B, including A-level Mathematics grade B minimum
BTEC National Diploma with one distinction and two merits, PLUS grade B minimum in A-level Mathematics
You will also need GCSE English Language grade C minimum

BEng/MEng Automotive / Mechanical / Motorsport Engineering
Typical offers
A-level: grades BBB (for BEng) / ABB (for MEng). for BEng, grades should include Maths and Physics; for MEng, grades should
include Maths grade A and Physics. Preferred subjects for third A level are Chemistry or Design Technology
IB Diploma: 30 points (BEng) / 33 points (MEng) to include minimum grade 6 (7 for MEng) in HL Maths and Physics
Advanced Diploma: For BEng, Engineering grade B, including A-level Maths grade B; for MEng, Engineering grade A, with Alevel Maths grade A
BTEC National Diploma in an engineering subject, with a DDM profile including a distinction grade in Further Maths plus A-level
Maths at grade B (BEng) / DDD profile plus A-level Maths at grade A (MEng)
You will also need GCSE English Language grade C minimum
BSc Motorsport Technology
Typical offers
A-level: grades BBC, preferably in Science and/or Design/Technology, or Mathematics
IB Diploma: 30 points, preferably including Science or Technology related subjects
Advanced Diploma: Engineering grade B, including A-level Maths at a pass grade
BTEC Extended National Diploma in a relevant subject with a DDM profile and GCSE mathematics.
You will also need GCSE English Language grade C minimum
BA Hons / BSc Hons Statistics combined (This course is no longer offered)
