Linear Equations Project- Due Date: March 10th or 11th
Handing the project in by the due date earns you 5 points. Every DAY that it is handed in late, will result in a loss of a
point from those 5 points. This will be inputted as a 100 point formative grade.
Part 1: Stained Glass Window
Directions:
1. Graph the following 12 linear equations on the graph paper provided, using a ruler. Be sure to show your
work as to how you changed the form of each equation, in order to graph them. If you need extra space,
you may use a separate piece of paper to show your work.
2. Label each line with the equation on the graph paper.
3. Color in your stained glass window with different colors to enhance your design.
4. Use the following rubric to understand how your project will be graded.

Part 2: Using Piecewise Functions to Draw the Olympic Torch
The following picture is made up of multiple linear equations. Write the linear equation, in any form, for each part of
the picture.
When writing the linear equations you must:
 At least 6 equations should be written in slope-intercept form.
 At least 6 equations should be written in point-slope form.
 Use compound inequalities to describe the domain.
You will be graded based upon the following rubric.
