AUSTIN PURE AIR - GENANO New Agent Training – Section #6 GENANO® TECHNOLOGY VERSUS Ultraviolet (UV) Technology Note: Many potential customers, upon first being introduced to GENANO through a presentation or by looking at a machine, believe it is probably just another form of UV light air purification. We must show them convincingly that not only do we use no UV lights but also that our revolutionary technology is vastly superior in every way. 1. GENANO’s patented filterless technology destroys and safely removes up to 99.96% of indoor air’s particulate impurities: viruses, bacteria, pollens, mold allergens, soot, chemicals, pollutants, smoke particles, and fine and ultrafine dusts as small as 1 Nano (.001 Microns). Versus UV – which merely inactivates microorganisms, mold spores, and viral contaminants but does not remove them. Nor does it have any effect on inanimate particulates such as smoke, diesel exhaust particles, chemicals, or dusts. 2. GENANO: (1) allows air to pass freely between its internal collection surfaces as (2) an ion spray is directed at the airborne particles, forcing the particles onto the collection surfaces and killing all live microbes (viruses, bacteria, molds, and yeasts); this process is followed by (3) flushing of the accumulated mass of particles by an eco-friendly mixture of distilled water and cleansing solution into a collection basin (portables) or sewer drain (G1000 Series). Versus UV lights that penetrate organism nuclei, disrupting their DNA (this disruption merely disables the organism’s ability to reproduce). 3. GENANO removes excess ozone, and there is no variation in ability to kill organisms. Versus UV – which must utilize different wavelength doses to disable varied organisms (mold spores require higher doses) and all wavelengths produce ozone. 4. GENANO is a complete system that replaces all other air purification technologies; it does not require any additional purification to supplement it. Versus UV – which only complements other air purification technologies, like HEPA, and cannot replace them. 5. GENANO PORTABLE UNITS contain a powerful charcoal capsule gas absorber that eliminates odors and most gases. Versus UV – which does not remove any gases or odors. 6. GENANO attaches to an HVAC system and needs no UV lights to remove all bacteria, mold, and viruses as small as 1 Nano (.oo1 microns). Versus UV – which shoots straight rays into the airflow and only inactivates the live organisms that get in its path. If a second UV system is made available to bathe the HVAC system, this second UV system still only impacts particles directly in the path of its UV light beam. Warning: UV lamps contain mercury and if one of them is broken, the cleanup process requires leaving the area for several hours to avoid mercury vapor, which is highly dangerous. 7. GENANO is sufficient with but one unit installed—attached to the HVAC equipment or as a stand-alone. (G1000 Series in-line units may be customized to fit building needs.) Versus UV – which requires two lights for best results (one in the return air vent and one near the HVAC coils) 8. GENANO units lend no danger at any time and require only easy maintenance. Versus UV – which needs maintenance involving periodic replacement of lamps that exposes workers to dangerous mercury, and prolonged exposure to UV light can result in flash burns, eye damage, and other health issues. 9. GENANO never suffers compromises in its work of ultra-purification to 1 Nano. Versus UV – which compromises its disinfection by up to 60% towards the end of UV lamp life. 10. GENANO never requires any kind of hazardous waste disposal, because it uses no filters or UV lights. Versus UV – which has between 5-50 mg of Mercury in each of its lamps. (Used lamps must be disposed of as “Hazardous Waste.”) 11. GENANO PORTABLE UNITS have only one moving part—the fan—and they last 15+ years. GENANO SERIES 1000 IN-LINE UNITS have no moving parts and last decades. Versus UV – which requires a kill switch for maintenance operations as well as high performance electronic circuits connected to an alarm or alert system; and small residential UV systems last only 3-6 months. Larger HVAC UV systems last up to 2 years (but are extremely expensive and dangerous.) 12. ALL GENANO UNITS are 99.96% efficient at all times. Versus UV LIGHTS—in normal installations, they have only 70% maximum efficiency (on microbes) because only what is directly struck by the beam of light is rendered nonreproductive. (30% of the microbial count escapes the direct strike of the beam.) PLUS: UV SYSTEMS START DIMINISHING IN THEIR EFFICIENCY AGAINST MICROBES FROM THE MOMENT THEY ARE FIRST USED. AND… THEY CONTINUE LOSING EFFICIENCY TILL THEY DROP TO 70%, AT WHICH POINT THEY MUST BE REPLACED. ALL IN ALL, THE OVERWHELMING SUPERIORITY OF GENANO TECHNOLOGY IS UNMISTAKABLE!
