DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments):
Candidate for assistant professor position should be characterized by experience in teaching and research
work. This should be documented by scientific achievements from discipline of materials science.
Successful candidate hired on this position will perform teaching tasks (independently conducting classes
and laboratories) of physics, various research techniques on advanced liquid crystals materials. In terms of
scientific and research tasks assistant professor will be responsible for production and electro-optical
measurements PDLC composites doped inorganic nanoparticles. Duties will also include production of
polymer films for ordering liquid crystal layers. The right candidate for the position should have experience
in research projects, especially in the field of materials science related to technology of PDLC composites
doped inorganic nanocrystals as well as in the field of photoalignment of liquid crystals. In particular, we
expect confirmed experience in design and electro-optical measurements of liquid crystal composites.
Knowledge and experience in research should be confirmed by publications with IF.
Admission requirements:
 professional qualifications attested by PhD diploma with materials science, specialty- liquid crystal
composites;
 Experience in teaching (confirmed an independent performing min. 300 hours of classes at the
Technical University);
 Authorship / co-authorship of scientific papers related to the job description (minimum five
publications from the A - list of Ministry of Science and Higher Education);
 Knowledge about advanced research techniques on liquid crystals composites
(i.e. electro-optical properties, microscopic techniques);
 good skills in English (specially technical).

 a declaration of no charges within the disciplinary procedure of the deprivation of rights to practice the
profession of academic teacher on a permanent or fixed-term basis/contract,
 a declaration on the full use of civil rights,
 a declaration stating whether MUT is the core or non-core workplace for the applicant.
