Zohray Moolani Talib, MD, FACP Zohray Moolani Talib is Associate Professor of Medicine and of Health Policy at the George Washington University (GWU) Medical School in Washington, D.C. Dr. Talib is a board-certified internal medicine physician and primary care doctor at GWU. Dr. Talib is the Director of the Internal Medicine Residency’s Global Health Program where she teaches a global health course and mentors residents in global health research. Dr. Talib has over ten years’ experience in medical education engaged in leadership and administration, teaching, curriculum development and program evaluation. Dr. Talib's research focuses on health system strengthening and health workforce issues both in the US and globally. In particular, her interests include examining ways to scale up the global health workforce (particularly through community-based education and e-learning) and linking investments in medical education to health outcomes. In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr. Talib is a Member on the Aga Khan Health Board (AKHB) for the USA, an agency within the Aga Khan Development Network. In this capacity, she has spent six years overseeing global health projects in East Africa and South-Central Asia which range from building capacity in education, management and research, improving health services, implementing community health activities and establishing tele-consult services. Dr. Talib received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, and her Doctor of Medicine from University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the George Washington University Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
