The following services are provided on an ongoing basis all year long:
Attend IEP's, 504's, and SST meetings
New students - review records from previous school, explain Irvington families, create
schedule
Short term counseling as needed which may include crisis counseling, grief counseling,
support groups, stress management, conflict resolution, bullying intervention, etc.
Seniors - parent meetings for students not on track for graduation
Disseminate information to staff, students and parents via district e-mail, School
Loop, school bulletin and the counseling webpage
Respond to staff, student, and parent questions and concerns via e-mail/phone calls
Collaborate with staff and the PTSA to identify students for the Viking PR.I.D.E. (Personal
Responsibility, Integrity, Determination and Encouragement) awards. Meet with the PRIDE
award recipients to distribute awards.
Monitor identified students - meet with students and parents based on teacher and parent
referrals as well as self-referrals from students to assess for additional services (SST, 504,
student survey, weekly progress reports)
