Describe the scope of business enterprise in the nation and the world
today..
The primary objective is to give the student an understanding of basic business
principles. Global business, entrepreneurship, management, marketing,
technology, and financial management will be discussed. Another purpose of this
course is to provide an opportunity for the student to learn first hand about
investing through participation in a stock market game.

Requirements
All exams will be on-line using Blackboard Vista. Pop quizzes will be
given at the beginning of class.
MAKE-UP POLICY
It is expected that assignments will be completed on time. Late work will
be accepted with a grade reduction of 11 points.
There will be make-up opportunities for exams if the student has a
legitimate reason for missing an exam. The instructor will determine the
legitimacy of the reason for missing an exam. There is no makeup on pop
quizzes regardless of the reason.

Criteria
The student will be evaluated as follows:
Mid-Term Exam (Chapters 1-.5) 25%
Final Exam (Chapters 6-10) 25%
5 Pop Quizzes (Chapters 11-16) (10 points each - no makeups)
20%
EXTRA CREDIT: No extra credit will be available.
