Scare Away Hunger Halloween Playday & Costume Contest Business Sponsors On Saturday, August 29, 2015 Three Brothers Riding School will be hosting the Scare Away Hunger Halloween Playday & Costume Contest for our students and boarders. The proceeds will go to our Brazos Food Bank, student scholarships, and help with the up keep of the school, so that we can keep the benefits of riding affordable for all. As many of our students don’t usually don’t get a chance to participate in horse shows, this is a special event for them. We are working hard at making this horse show a great success. We are expecting many participants and spectators to attend our horse show There are three ways a local business can help make the show successful. You can be a barrel sponsor for $50 (Signs with your logo will be placed on a barrel that will be used in the show or displayed around the arena for the year) or be an arena sponsor for $100 (if you provide us with a banner we will display it in our arena for the year). Business can also donate items for prizes. We are looking for anything that will help our students with future showing or show our parent how much we appreciate them. Your sponsorship will help us give a t-shirt to every child that participates in our horse show. All of the volunteers will be wearing the t-shirts during the playday. Sponsors will be listed on the back of the tshirts, announced during the show, and posted for all to see. Cutoff date to be included as a sponsor and listed on the t-shirt is Friday, September 30th, 2015. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to consider helping Three Brothers Riding School and our fight against hunger. The “Scare Away Hunger Halloween Playday & Costume Contest” will have two purposes: to allow all our riders to participate in a horse show and to raise funds for our riding school and fight cancer. The proceeds will go to the Brazos Food Bank, student scholarships, and help with the up keep of the school, so that we can keep the benefits of riding affordable for all. I am very committed to keeping my prices low so that more can take advantage of the great sport of riding. I don’t have to tell you the benefits your child gets from riding. I hope you will share with your family and friends. I truly believe riding teaches life skills that have been overlooked in today’s youth: bravery, leadership and selfreliance. Ribbons 1st through 6th in their class, prizes for 1st through 3rd, and a one month scholarship and Costume Belt for High Point. The rider who raises the most funds will receive a four-month riding scholarship. In addition to being a great event for our riders, this is also a great opportunity for you to help raise funds for our school and fight hunger. For every lesson that your child participates in, you pay approximately 25% of the actual cost of the lesson. The remaining 75% of the actual cost of a lesson is raised by Three Brothers through fundraisers and boarding. We are asking you to help raise funds so we may continue to offer great lessons at low cost to all our riders. Students can raise money two ways: pledges in any amount and the sponsorship of the arena or Barrel. We would love for all our riders to participate! The only requirement we are requesting from riders is to raise a minimum of $75 in pledges to participate in the horse show. Any rider that turns in at least $75 in collected pledges and enter by September 30th will receive a free Three Brothers Riding School t-shirt. All monies must be turned in by October 8th, 2015 to count toward prizes and to participate in the show. Please consider participating in the Scare Away Hunger Halloween Playday & Costume Contest. There is a division for everyone, whether your child feels most comfortable at a walk, trot, or canter. This will be a great event that your child will enjoy while at the same time helping out our riding school and fighting cancer. In the coming weeks, we will hand out the rider campaign packet to help assist you in raising pledges. If you have any questions please call Maggie at 210-632-2097. They can bond with a special horse and develop lifelong relationships. Imagine a place where dreams really do come true. When children ride their horse, they become independent. The arena is the heart of our barn. It is where friendships are formed, secrets are pasted, laughter is heard, and dares are made. It is also where goals are set and achieved, where courage is found, and where we will all learn to get up after a fall. Most of all, the children at Three Brothers are learning essential life skills, such as bravery, leadership and selfreliance. students valuable life lessons. Horses are wonderful, but expensive and fragile creatures. Did you know …? Each riding lesson costs $94.48 to make it happen! Students pay only $30. That means we must raise the other $69.48. We do this through fundraisers and boarding. Our lesson horses are on their second careers giving them a second chance teaching our Another way to look at it … Think of the four legs of a horse. You pay for one leg and Three Brothers raises what is needed to support the other three legs!
