Discover your career potential in the following opportunity: Job Title: Principal Financial Systems Analyst (30332) Job Description: PAY RANGE: LOCATION: $68,400 - $102,600 (DOQ) Rapid City, SD PRIMARY FUNCTION: Operate and maintain financial, human resource, asset, and reporting systems including associated interfaces for the Company. These systems include, but are not limited to, the following functions: purchasing, inventory, accounts payable, general ledger, miscellaneous billing and accounts receivable systems, payroll, human resources, self-service, property assets, budgeting, expenses, reporting and related accounting system interfaces to other systems and vendors. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintain software platforms which include, but not limited to, PeopleSoft, Power Plant and Hyperion. Support and maintenance of these software platforms include: day-to-day support and maintenance, patch and bundle implementations, software enhancements, upgrades, acquisitions and new software implementations in support of BHC’s growth strategy. Must have three year experience in maintaining and developing PeopleSoft allocations and nVision reports Maintain data integrity by analyzing and adjusting data controls to support accurate financial results. Improve business processes and develop procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness within BHC’s software platforms managed by the Accounting Systems department. Develop and maintain written procedures for system users associated with identified software. Support continual integration of identified systems with other BHC software applications to create an efficient business model for future growth. Develop and maintain project management expertise to support the organization in effective and efficient implementation of assigned software projects to support company’s strategic objectives. Maintain system security to ensure internal controls are in place to manage and complete data processes while meeting SOX compliance requirements. Understand, develop and maintain reporting requirements to support organization in completing value added operational and financial analysis. Support an effective training platform to ensure users are adequately educated on system processes to support accurate completion of required job responsibilities. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission rules and regulations. Network with other software users to obtain new ideas on best business practices and strategies on managing efficient financial, human resource, asset and reporting systems. Maintain knowledge on upcoming software improvements to be delivered by software provider. Complete other duties as assigned. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Develop and maintain strong internal working relationships with: o Department team members o Information Technology Personnel o Functional Users within all Business Lines and departments with primary emphasis on: Accounting and Finance Departments (Payroll, AP, Property, Accounting, Treasury, Property) Supply Chain Departments Human Resources Departments Operations o Internal Audit Develop and maintain strong external working relationships with: Software Providers (Oracle, Power Plant, etc.) Other 3rd party users of identify software systems. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 10 years' experience in related field including Accounting, MIS, or IT. Minimum five years working with PeopleSoft financial systems. Experience in analyzing and interpreting financial information. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Accounting, or Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. KNOWLEDGE: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. Knowledge of MS Project. Understanding of Project Management methodologies. SKILLS/ABILITY/OTHER CHARACTERISTICS: Excellent leadership and organization skills. Strong planning and organization skills. Proven ability to communicate effectively through both written and oral communications. Proven ability to create and execute complex project plans. Ability to understand and exercise good judgment in complex interrelated business issues.
