Brown County High School Senior
Recipient Requirements
1. Applicant has chosen to pursue a career in education.
2. Applicant has a financial need for assistance.
3. Applicant has demonstrated satisfactory progress and GPA that indicate a potential for
success in post-secondary education.
4. Applicant demonstrates leadership ability and involvement in extra curricular activities
and/or civic, religious or community service.
5. Applicant has completed a 200 word essay that answers the questions on the
application.
6. Applicant has included recommendations from 2 people who know the applicant’s skills
and achievements and educational goals. One must be from an educator at the
applicant’s high school. Both may be from high school personnel or one may be from a
non-related adult who is familiar with the applicant’s skills, achievements and
educational goals.
7. Form is signed, dated and returned (via U.S. mail or by e-mail) by the application
deadline.

Zeta Chapter Scholarship (Grant-in-Aid) Application
Hardie-Flanagan-Rueppel Grant 2015
This application is for the $1000.00 competitive scholarship (known as Grant-in-Aid in the society) to be presented
by the Green Bay chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. The scholarship will be awarded to a Brown County high school
senior who has shown high academic achievement, leadership abilities, involvement in school extracurricular
activities, community and civic involvement, and a desire to pursue a career in education.
Deadline for application is March 13, 2015

Scholarships are awarded using the following criteria:
1. Financial need – 25 points
2. Academic achievement (including transcript and ACT test results)– 25 points
3. Leadership abilities, high school extracurricular activities, and civic religious and/or community service – 15
points
4. Required essay – 15 points
5. Recommendation letters (2 required) – 20 points
(one letter must come from a teacher/counselor and one may from a non-relative who knows the applicant well and can
comment on academic and personal abilities. Both may come from school personnel)
The winner will be notified approximately three weeks after the scholarship deadline. The funds will be sent directly
to the institution where the student has enrolled.
