Course Objective
To teach students many useful information on issues such as general
laboratory rules, accidents and measures, basic laboratory materials and their
uses, preparations
before the
experiment, solution
preparation and
experimental setups, implementation of some basic experiments and
reporting test results.
Course Content
General information, basic materials used in the chemistry laboratory, the
laboratory rules, accidents and measures, the basic procedures applied in the
laboratory, preparation of analysis solutions, methods of separation of
heterogeneous mixtures, homogeneous mixtures separation and purification
processes, gravimetric analysis procedures, volumetric analysis procedures,
creating a calibration curve and reporting the results of the analysis.

The student who accomplishes the course successfully;
1.Learns basic information about the basic items and materials used in the
laboratory.
2.Obtains information about the rules to be followed in the laboratory and
accidents.
3.Learns first aid information about accidents that may occur in the laboratory.
4.Learns information about the preparations for the pre-experiment
and preparation of various chemical solutions and regulating the solutions.
